UDL is an approach to learning that minimizes barriers and
maximizes learning for all students. Curriculum should provide learning opportunities
for each unique students. The framework uses learning goals, materials and
assessments for all students. First identify your goals, then think what
barriers in the classroom may prevent ALL the students in my classroom from
achieving the goals? Use the three UDL principals. 1. Present the information
in different ways. Because what interests one students may not catch another
students. 2. Provide multiple means for student action and expression. 3. Provide
many different means of engagement. Offer students options that pique their
individual interests.
